Etnaland is the nearest park to Taormina and our B&B is very near to Etnaland, less then half hour drive, but Etnaland is very difficult to reach with public transport. From Giarre o Catania you can use the tourist train CircumEtna, and exit at the train stop Vallcorentein. There are no taxis and there is no bus or Etnaland shuttle service, and though you could walk for 3km, but there is no pavement, so you would be walking in the street in more then 40 degrees Celsius !

The water park features dozens of different slides for maximum fun for all ages, attractions have exotic names like Blue Lagoon, Niagara Falls, River Rafting, Rio Anaconda, Black Hole, Red Cannon etc. There are many toboggan, including huge pools for both children and adults. One of the most entertaining attractions is the wave pool, the largest in Europe. All attractions are constantly monitored by staff at various points and the animation is also provided with engaging activities and group dance lessons.
Born as a safari park on the slopes of Etna in Sicily it has evolved as an amusement park similar to Disneyland, but focused on water games. In the initial area of the zoo and now being completed is another great attraction that will probably benefit from the structure not only in summer. With more than 110,000 square meters today it is the largest theme park in southern Italy and is visited by many visitors from Sicily, Calabria, Puglia and Malta. The amusement park Etnaland is made up of two parks: the water park and the Dinosaur Park. These are structured around several attractions, surrounded by many guest services such as dining or large parking. The ticket costs about € 20 to all attractions except the cable car. Etnaland is a great destination for adults and children not to be missed for a holiday in Sicily.

New for 2012is the new attraction called “Jungle Splash”, which belongs to the type of "Spill Water”. Jungle Splash is in fact a water course to tackle on board ships across a special portion of the jungle where, in addition to rocks and towering waterfalls (150,000 liters of water per minute) a tower fall that seems to be made of bamboo stands in the background. A lift will take the boats to a height of 25 meters and then drop, with a slope of 45 degrees at high-speed, raising the water basin below waves of water several meters high. Over the next two years the water park Etnaland will continue to expand with a new area of 20,000 sqm composed of five themed areas, practically a small amusement park in itself, entirely dedicated to families with children.
The Cableway, with its 1800 meters, is the biggest cable car that has a pentagonal route in Europe. Made of 23 cableway supports and 5 change stations, it has 146 cable-cars with a capacity of 700 people for hour. Having the Panoramic Route in the cableway, you will enjoy a rare and unforgettable experience: you'll see Mt. Etna, the immensity of valleys and of the coasts. You will overlook the fantastic Botanic Park, the funny Aquatic Park and the big Prehistory Park that hosts 23 scientific reproductions of 3 families of prehistoric animals and humanoids that all lived in different geological eras.
The Dinosaur Park presents the reconstruction of many prehistoric animals in natural scale, 3 families of all humanoids who lived in different geological eras. The route begins on the trains of time, a shuttle that transports visitors from the contemporary world to the primitive world, going back hundreds of millions of years. After getting off the train one observes the first forms of life inside a cave, then passing from age to age up to Neanderthal Man. The route is marked by a series of rocks revolving around a pond.
The crocodile rapids, themed in "Deepest Africa" style, are crossed on boats for nine people surfing a river deep in the jungle that passes for an abandoned mine and where you can see crocodiles, elephants, hippos, flamingos and other animals in a natural setting. It's probably one of the most majestic and exciting attractions of Etnaland for lovers of this kind of fun.
In this attraction, made in a cinema, you can see a spectacle of sound and light laser 3D, volumetric fog, lighting and sound games and many other exciting visual effects.
Recently added to the park, the blue lagoon area is themed in "South America" style with many attractions like the slow river for children, children’s play ground and trampolines for diving. Remarkable is the Blue Lagoon, a paradisiacal place with rocks, waterfalls and jacuzzi, the perfect place for relaxing.
